MSW Series, Surface Mount High Power SP2T and SP3T Switches
The RoHs Compliant MSW Series of SP2T and SP3T High Power Switches are offered in both asymmetrical ( Transmit-Receive ) and symmetrical ( Balanced ) configurations. They operate from 20 – 4,500 MHz with 158 W C.W. Power Handling to provide 0.25 dB Loss and better than 50 dB Isolation @ +25 °C in a low profile, compact Surface Mount Package. The SP2T Series outline is 8 mm L x 5 mm W x 2.5 mm H, and the SP3T outline is 8 mm L x 8 mm W x 2.5 mm H.

Silicon PIN Diodes: MELF
The MELF PIN Diode 7000 Series is manufactured using Aeroflex-Metelics proprietary diode process optimizing the diode ohmic contacts connected to the heat spreading metal posts within e ceramic package. This unique geometry provides lower electrical and thermal resistance to provide higher average power performance to comparable surface mount diode packages. Useful Operating Frequency is 1 MHz to 1 GHz for higher power switch and attenuator applications.
These devices are hermetically sealed and are constructed with non-magnetic materials to meet stringent requirements for MRI systems. The devices are fully RoHS compliant. These devices are durable, reliable and capable of meeting

Tunnel Diodes

High “Q”, Thin Film, Spiral Inductors
The Aeroflex / Metelics MMI-300 Series of Spiral Inductors are formed by photolithography and plating techniques on quartz substrates. They eliminate the need for hand forming and “staking” of coil in hybrid circuits.
They provide uniformity, durability and repeatability in circuit fabrication. The coils are polyimide coated to protect from ambient contaminants, and to eliminate the need for conformal coating. Quartz substrates are rugged and reduce dielectric losses. Chips may be bonded using either conductive or non conductive epoxies, and wire bonded with gold wire or ribbon by thermocompression bonding.

- FTIR for measurement of epi layer thickness;
- C-V Hg-probe for measurement of epi resistivity;
- Spreading resistance profile (SRP) for measurement of epi resistivity vs depth;
- Four point probe for measurement of epi resistivity atop a p-n junction;
- 100% visual inspection using a high intensity Yamada inspection lamp.
